Geocaching in Cheyenne
Over 1,108,000 modern treasures are hidden worldwide. Cheyenne has over 600 hidden within a 50 mile radius. These treasures, or geocaches, can be located with a GPS receiver and published coordinates. Visit Cheyenne, in partnership with True West Magazine and several local geocaching enthusiasts, has placed geocaches in and around Cheyenne. Each location is near a Cheyenne attraction or significant site that might otherwise be missed in a general tour of Cheyenne. Each cache contains a few trinkets for trade and a logbook to record your discovery.

* I regret not having a camera, as this series has taken me to some interesting history in the Cheyenne area. Another nicely hidden cache, that I will imitate back home. No muggles out, so Max checked the mail while I found the cache and signed the log. Outside of container was covered with condensation, but the inside was dry. Left signature card, took nothing. Thanks for the history and the nice cache.
* Only my second cache by this owner, but I look forward to doing more. Nice container, good hide, and historic location make this a great cache. Found the cache and logged my find right away, leaving my signature card, then enjoyed the mansion before I left. Thanks for the nice cache.
* A quick trip over the hill today for some caching. Thanks for all the historic places. LNTN TFTC
* Took Cheyenne pin (hey! I'm a tourist from Maryland!!) left a key ring to pay for it. SL TFTC.
* I wandered around the ranch a bit. I'd never been to this place before. I'll definitely have to bring my grandchildren the next time they visit. They'll love the the animals...and the train!
